Match Report:

Great game Coach Broom is gutted

Tiverton RFC hosted Honiton U14s this Wednesday evening under the lights at Coronation Field.
Honiton started the match strongly, scoring two early tries from Finn Parratt and Dan Denslow in a game that ebbed and flowed and had the travelling Honiton supporters on the edges of their seats.
Jack Partiss also slotted one of the conversions to give Honiton a 12 point lead. Tiverton then bounced back with two breakaway tries and a conversion leaving the scores at 12 apiece at the break.
Honiton then upped their game in the first part of the second half responding with a try from Wes Keward with a great conversion from out wide again by Partiss. Then in this ding dong affair Tiverton bounced back with a with another unconverted try. Leaving the scores at 19-17 in the Lacemen's favour as the game entered the final stages unfortunately Tivvy's finished the strong side and they scored right at the end e, leaving the final score at 22-19 in the home sides favour.
This was a fantastic game for all involved, played in the true spirit of Rugby. After such a long layoff due to the weather and cancellations Honiton's U14s did themselves proud and can only go from strength to strength.
