| Match Report: | Honiton win the day! Again in a hastily re arranged fixture Honiton muscled in on a game at Bridport where Weymouth were the visitors. In the two game tournament, Honiton ran out on top. They just scraped a win against Bridport in a pulsating game coming out on top by a narrow 21 -20. Honiton were 14-10 at half time curtsy of a try Charlie Wright and by Neil Parris, Wright converted both. Will Vinning added to this with a try in the second half but crucially it was again converted as Bridport came back strongly with two tries. The second game also went Honiton’s way but was a little more comfortable at 33-12. There was a brace of tries each for Charlie Wright and Luke Chambers and in the second half Josh Goodier dotted down. Wright weighed in with yet another solid goal kicking display getting 4 out of the 5 attempts. All round a very satisfying day out. |
