Membership Types

Membership rules and fees for 2016 – 2017

Life Member £500-00 ---This type of membership can be purchased by whoever wants to support the club, and will remain a member for the rest of his/her life. Includes his family as social members. Life Members are also be invited to the Annual V/P and Sponsors Luncheon and sent a Fixtures Booklet each year for the rest of his/her life


Honorary Life Member --Awarded by the Management Committee for services to the club over many years, includes his family as social members.
Honorary Members are also be invited to the Annual V/P and Sponsors Luncheon


Senior Playing Member £75-00 Due by the start of the playing season—September 1st. This type of membership includes spouse and non-playing children up to 18 years of age to be Social Members. If the Senior Playing Member has children who wish to play, then this membership also covers the first child as a Junior Member. If the player has a second child then he should pay a further fee of £10.00
(If the senior player is in full time education or long term out of work, then his fee will be reduced to £50-00).


Colts Member £50-00 – colts are not categorised as “Juniors” and therefore should not be considered as a Junior member. However, for RFU registration purposes, a colt must be registered as a “Junior Player”. A player is not allowed to play colt rugby if he is 18 years old before the start of the season (Sept 1st). As soon as he reaches 18 after 1st September he must then be registered as a Senior player but may continue playing colts rugby for the rest of that season. This type of membership does not include the parents of the player. A parent should become a Social Member. One Social Membership would cover both parents and non-playing siblings.

Vice-President £80-00 --- this is a donation to the club offering financial support, but also qualifies the person (himself only) to be a player. It includes his family as social members. If the V/P has children who wish to play, then this membership also covers the first child as a Junior Member. If the player has a second child then he should pay a further fee of £10-00
A Vice President is also invited to the Annual V/P and Sponsors Luncheon, and is eligible to apply for international tickets through the club.


Junior Member £40-00 --- A Junior playing member is any player up to the age of 15 at the start of the season. This type of membership includes the junior player and non-playing parents and siblings as Social Members. His or her siblings who are players, should pay an additional £10 per player.

Corporate Membership Is a donation of £150 or more, from a company or individual. This will be used to help cover the general running costs of the club eg. utility bills, and maintenance etc. Corporate members will also be invited to the Annual V/P and Sponsors Luncheon
General Club Sponsorship This is a donation of £250 or more to HRFC from a company for the purchase of specific items of kit or equipment in return for some advertising benefits such as company names or logos on the equipment and links from the rugby clubs website and match day program advertisements. The company can nominate one representative to become a “Member by Proxy” who would be invited to the Annual V/P and Sponsors Luncheon.

Member by Proxy This is the person nominated by a Club Sponsor to be the representative of their company to receive the clubs fixtures card and be invited to the Annual V/P and Sponsors Luncheon.

Social Member £25-00 – a Social Membership entitles that person only to be a member and use the clubhouse facilities and to purchase drinks. (See Note 1 below.)

Match fees for Junior Players will be £3-00
